1/12th Scale 'The Retreat'
Similar to The Old Boat Shed in size and style this is The Retreat, a 1/12th scale one roomed cottage now on ebay. Great for that small space or for a small project - it would make a lovely studio, craft workshop or even a tiny tearoom.
1/24th Scale 'Periwinkle Cottage'
I realised a couple of weeks ago that I haven't made many 24th scale properties recently so Periwinkle Cottage is the result. Lucky I took the photos yesterday before the snow came!

Something a Little Bit Different......
Tudor isn't my usual building style at all but I have enjoyed restoring/rebuilding this Greenleaf 'Glencroft' dolls house. In need of a new forever home this 1/12th scale house has had several owners over the years and just recently it came back to me ( I was it's second owner I think a few years ago). Bought for a friend of mine many years ago as a kit it was partially built before being forgotten and left in the shed. I then took it on and built a bit more before losing interest and selling it on. It then came up for a sale again just after Christmas and I decided that it needed finishing at last - and here it is. Anyone who has built a Greenleaf house before will tell you they are not easy - beautiful yes but easy - no. And of course being American it was rear opening. Always keen for a challenge I decided to make it front opening so I had to chop off the very well glued in place front and make it free standing. So here it is finished at long last. Front opening and with four spacious rooms inside. It is a beautiful cottage just crying out for roses round the door and window boxes full of flowers. I hope someone can find the space for it in their collection!

A Little 1/12th Scale Shabby Chic Shop
I bought this little 1/12th scale shop in kit form on ebay a couple of weeks ago. It was originally designed by Bob Willans of Tollgate Miniatures so I can claim no credit for the design but I had fun putting it together and then painting it in this pretty pale green - all ready for the Spring (when it finally decides to come!!) Ideal for a small project and with the lovely big window there's plenty of room to display what's for sale inside. Now on ebay - please take a look!

This would make a lovely shop or simple cottage or retreat - the choice is yours! I have just listed it on ebay under my seller name juliefben. Please take a look.

1/12th Scale 'Le Petit Magasin'
This is 'Le Petit Magasin', my latest 1/12th scale French style shop. More of a corner shop design than my recent retail premises with nice big windows on two sides making the interior light and airy and also ideal for display purposes. Just big enough for a taste of France!!
A New Slice of a Shop for Paula
Paula asked if I could make another shop front for Quayside village. She asked if it could have French windows upstairs, a balcony and a large window for displays downstairs and this is the result. I used the lovely 'Cashmere' paint and as always the wonderful plants were made by Marianne Cook.
Two Really Useful Outbuildings!
I was asked if I could make another outbuilding to match the original one but with a green window and door. I think they look quite good together!
