New 1/12th Scale Shop

This is a new 1/12th scale shop just completed this weekend. I found the lovely big window on ebay a while ago - it's quite an old one, made by Anglesey Dolls Houses, so I won't be able to make another shop like this as they ceased trading some years ago. Such a nice deep window sill allows plenty of space for dispaying stock - ideal for flowers, antiques, shabby chic accessories - the possibilities are endless!

Another 1/12th Scale Sail Loft and Anchorage

I was asked if I could make another Sail Loft Cottage and also The Anchorage. Here they are together in the sunshine (yes, that rare thing - sunshine!) They look almost like the start of a little Cornish village.

1/12th Scale 'Sea Shanty Cottage'

Just completed yesterday - 'Sea Shanty Cottage'. I managed to get out in the garden between showers to take these photos. The brick front was a bit of an experiment - I've never tried using brick impress moulds before but they were quite straightforward to use - time consuming though!! Perhaps I will speed up with practise! Sea Shanty is on ebay right now.

An Extension for Beach Cottage

Remember Beach Cottage? This is an extension designed to sit alongside the cottage giving the occupant a small oustide space for plants, chickens, hanging out washing and also the all important outside toilet!

A Little Shop for Debbie

Debbie asked me to make a little shop for her and this is the result. In 1/12th scale and similar in style and size to the shops I made for Paula this will sit happily on a shelf. There is something very satisfying in making these smaller properties - a bit like building in 1/24th scale where the end product is easy to pick up and tuck under your arm!

1/12th Scale 'Harbourside'

This is a slightly different version of my popular 1/12th scale 'Harbourside' cottage. Just completed for my friend Carol this house has an opening stable door on the ground floor and then inside I have added an extra mezzanine floor (as Paula did in her Barnacle Cottage) to create additional bedroom space. I think Carol wants to use the ground floor for a shop so she asked for a larger window beside the door. Sam likes the look of this property, especially with it having the yard to one side - sorry Sam.....it's already spoken for!!!

An Even Smaller Slice of a Shop!!

Paula emailed to say that she had created a tiny space in Quayside and the people of the town were in desperate need of a fish and chip shop - this little shop front is the result. Just big enough for a nice display in the window and a lovely sign across the front. Just goes to prove there is always that little bit of space left for a new dolls house!!!
