This is 'Crabshell Cottage', a new 1/24th scale house just completed and on ebay right now (seller name juliefben). If you look closely you will be able to see a couple of Marianne Cook's fantastic potted plants (on the doorstep and the windowsill) They are just gorgeous - Marianne is so clever! I wish I had her patience!!

A Blue Beach Hut - 1/12th Scale

After two days of rain and wind here is a new 1/12th scale beach hut to help us think about holidays, sunshine and the seaside. A little shabby from years of use this hut is looking for a new home and a new family to move in and enjoy their holidays. It's on ebay right now (ebay seller name juliefben).

A New 1/12th Scale Shop

Here is my new favourite greeny grey colour used on my latest 1/12th scale shop. The lovely big bay window is a new design hand made by John at J and A Supplies - go and take a look at their website http://www.jandasupplies.co.uk/ where there are lots of hand made windows and doors.

1/24th Scale 'Flotsam Cottage'

This is 'Flotsam Cottage', a one up and one down 24th scale house recently completed. The colour doesn't come up very well on the photo but it's my new favourite 'Mellow Sage'. It's sort of a greeny grey and very suitable for a seaside house. I'm just finishing the partner to this little house - 'Jetsam Cottage'. Photo tomorrow hopefully.

1/12th Scale Shop - Ideal for Small Spaces!

I bought a lovely single storey shop unit from Bob Willans (Tollgate Miniatures) at Miniatura in the Spring but it sat on a shelf untouched. I added a second storey and a small roof, gave it all a textured plaster finish and then used my favourite blue for the woodwork. I think this little shop would be ideal for anyone short of space as it could easily be wall mounted or can sit on a narrow bookcase. I just managed to take some photos between showers yesterday - let's hope for some better weather soon!

Shabby Chic Garden Shed

This is a handmade 1/12th scale garden shed which has been given the 'shabby chic' treatment with a bit of sanding. I tried to make it look a little weather worn round the edges and it would be ideal for storing garden equipment or as a hideaway for the man of the house - a comfy chair, a radio (for the cricket commentary) and a bottle of sherry would make his Father's Day perfect!

A New 1/12th Scale Beach Hut

As the holiday season is almost upon us I decided to make some more beach huts. Slightly different in design to my previous huts being smaller and of a lighter construction with access to the interior via the lift off roof panel. I've distressed the paintwork a bit so it looks weathered and I've used a nice soft green - almost a sea green in fact. I tried my hand at making bunting for the first time too. I just cut up some pretty paper I found. I don't think I've got the size quite right yet but it doesn't look too bad!

1/12th Scale French Style Shop

Apologies first of all for the photo. The awful weather yesterday meant that I could take any pictures out in the garden as I usually do so I was forced inside to get some photos of my new 1/12th scale French style shop. This was going to be small cottage originally but then I decided it looked more like a shop so I added the large window on the ground floor. I thought this would make a lovely flower shop or a bakery perhaps - or better yet a chocolate shop!

1/12th Scale 'Breakwater Cottage'

This is 'Breakwater Cottage', just listed on ebay this afternoon. I found a lovely new shade of grey/green for the windows and door called 'Mellow Sage' - I think it feels very seasidey and makes a nice change from the blues I've been using recently. Sam likes the look of this cottage. There's a window over the sink so he can look out on the garden when he stacks his dirty plates ready for washing. Nowhere to store his boat though so he may have to keep looking for the perfect property.
