1/24th Scale 'Bluebell Cottage'

This is 'Bluebell Cottage', a recently completed 1/24th scale house with scullery extension to one side. Being a little bit bigger than my usual one up one down cottages this  house gives the owner the chance to have a proper kitchen area as well as living space downstairs.

1/12th Scale 'The Quilt Barn'

I love patchwork quilts. Full size ones are great but 1/12th scale ones are even better and I was thinking about how wonderful a quilt shop would be when I made this little building. It doesn't have to be a quilt shop - it could used for any business or simply as a garden room - the choice is yours.

1/12th Scale 'The Old Barn'

This is 'The Old Barn', a 1/12th scale building which would be ideal as a gift shop, tea room, studio, pottery or a little hideaway deep in the countryside. I think it would look lovely filled with flowers - a great way to display a collection of plants like the wonderful lavenders on the front made by Marianne Cook.

1/24th Scale' May Cottage'

This is 'May Cottage' a new 1/24th scale cottage recently completed for a customer. It is a two roomed house with an additional toilet to one side. I built the toilet so it can be moved if necessary so it is free standing and just sits alongside the cottage itself. It also comes with the little yard space in front with just enough room for a bench and some potted plants.

1/12th Scale 'Seashore Cottage'

1/12th Scale 'The Garden Room'

This is just a small project - 'The Garden Room' - 1/12th scale and on ebay right now. I spotted the two arched windows on ebay recently and as they were made by Glenowen (long since ceased trading) I knew I would be unlikely to see any more so I bid and won the auction. I thought they would look nice on a small shop - ideal as a gift shop, tea room, flower shop, shabby chic emporium - the choice is yours! This is a great size for anyone short of space as it will sit on a shelf quite happily out of the way.

1/12th Scale 'Lupin Cottage'

This was my very first attempt at using the brick compound and stencil technique from Bromley Crafts. I found the bricks harder to do than the stone but I think I improved as I went along (I started off on the back wall so that any glaring mistakes wouldn't be too obvious!) This is Lupin Cottage. Same size and style as Cockleshell so they stand quite nicely together to form what could be the start of a seaside street. Mrs. Smith has been busy making tea for the handyman Bert who has called round just to make sure the house is in order before it goes on the market. He's enjoying a nice cup of tea and a chocolate biscuit before he starts work. Lupin Cottage is on ebay today so please take a look. Bert and Mrs. Smith were both made by the very talented Susan Emsell and the lavenders were from Marianne Cook.
